First - Thursday and Saturday Ladders Will Not be held this week. Enjoy the holiday.
I have finally got all of the pieces put together to send off to Shea regarding our request for the space for our pickleball courts. Michael Santonino responded and said that he will present the package at their meeting on November 30th. It would be great to have an agreement in place by Christmas. I have posted some of the material for your review on our website www.trilogypickleball.com on a page called Court Construction.
On behalf of the board, I would like to announce that Manley Perkel has accepted our invitation to join the board of directors as a Member At Large. We welcome Manley and we all agree that he will be an asset to the board and the members of the pickleball club. Welcome aboard!
I have recently had requests to move some of our start times for afternoon play to 2:00 O’clock instead of 3 O’clock. We've got 20 to 25 players showing up and sunset is encroaching on our play time. So, beginning November 29th, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday play will start at 2:00PM.
The weather is just perfect, so come out and join the fun. Here’s our modified Fall/Winter Schedule:
Monday Afternoon: 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM - Beginners and All Levels - Open Play Tuesday Afternoon: 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM - All Levels - Open Play Wednesday Morning: 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM - Mixed Doubles League Wednesday Afternoon: 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM - All Levels - Open Play Thursday Afternoon: 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM - Ladder - A Level Thursday Afternoon: 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM - All Levels - Open Play Friday Mornings: 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM - Advanced Play Saturday Mornings: 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM - Ladder - All Levels Saturday Mornings: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM - All Levels - Open Play
For our more advanced players, please do remember that Monday play is primarily for beginners. Beginners have priority on all courts. If courts become available be sure to keep at least one or two spots available for our advancing beginners on your court. This will provide them an opportunity to improve their skills. Keep in mind also that Open Play on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday is for everyone’s participation – including our beginner players who would like to advance.

Once again, this season, the Trilogy Women’s Club is holding a charity silent auction at the rotunda at the Kiva Club on Nov 29th and 30th. All monies raised from this auction will benefit their charity - Faith House. The Pickleball Club (w ith the help of Patsy and Sue Gusich) will be participating in the event by once again putting together and donating a holiday tree for their auction. If you would like to participate and contribute to the cost of building our tree, please drop off a $5.00 or $10.00 donation to me or any of the club officers (Stewart Helfrich, Stu Bernstein, Don Beardsworth, Don Johnson or Manley Perkel) anytime within the next couple of weeks. Your participation would be very much appreciated.
Over the past several weeks a number of tournaments have been held here in the West Valley. More than several of our club members participated with varying results but all of us enjoyed the experience. Thanks to all participants and those who came out to support our teams. More tournaments are on the agenda. Below is a list of the remaining scheduled Arizona tournaments for the season. I have highlighted the local tournaments in yellow. Happy Trials is the only tournament that has its registration open at this time. Most of others will available forregistration in December and January.
